Here you can see the selected photos
of Joe Bevilacqua’s life in the woods
by Chris Pike (it's art so some are naked)
And see Lorie Kellogg's photos
of Chris photographing me.
I was the subject for the prestigious 2007 Eddie Adams Workshop
Barnstorm XX. For twenty years, some of the best editors and young
photojournalists have gathered for a fall workshop in upstate New York
for Barnstorm - the photo shooting seminar organized by the late Eddie
Adams.
"Bevilacqua’s life was captured on film October 6 and 7, 2007, as he was followed around by Christopher Pike,
a freelance photojournalist who traveled from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
for the shoot, during which Bevilacqua demonstrated some of the faces
he makes when creating his character’s voices, read a radio comedy
script with his wife, cooked dinner in a solar cooker, made fresh soy
milk, drew a cartoon, played with his dogs and ran naked through the
woods."

Hi! I'm Joe Bevilacqua.
I
began making up stories into a tape recorder when I was twelve in 1971.
37-years and hundreds of hours of radio broadcasting later, and I am
still creating unusual audio that defies categorization. Whether it is
creating a half-hour radio play for XM Satellite Radio, documentaries,
features or personal essays for National Public Radio, or performing on
stage before a live audience, I have made a career out of imaginative
storytelling in the best aural traditions of the past.
On
this website, you can hear many hours of my audio work in every genre,
for free! If you like what you hear, you might consider using PayPal
to donate to the cause in order to help keep the art of spoken word
alive. And you can purchase CDs of any show on this website, for
$11.95, plus $1.00 shipping, also through PayPal.Over
the coming months, I will be adding to this library. I will also be
writing many “behind-the-scenes” essay about the making of these shows,
so come back often and see what's new!And look for “The Joe Bevilacqua
Video Library”... coming soon! This will include some of my best
television, animation and video work, and rare videos taken during the
recording of my radio work.Soon, I will also be adding to this site
examples of my work as a writer, including articles, columns, books,
essays and scripts. Write me at joebev@joebev.com and let mer know what you think of my new site so far.Happy listening!
Joe Bev.
